Welcome to HODL FM, the newsletter that curates insights for degens, traders, collectors and builders in Web3.
Polymarket, one of the biggest platforms for putting your money where your predictions are, is teaming up with Perplexity, an AI search engine that’s probably smarter than all of us.

Together, they’ll give you the news summaries you never knew you needed—this is especially a gem for degens who will be better informed while betting on future outcomes of events like the U.S election, who wins a gold medal in the Olympics, or even whether Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s X space will mention Bitcoin.
When you click on an event on Polymarket, voilà! You’ll now get a neat little summary of the latest gossip—courtesy of Perplexity’s search magic. And because we're all about that extra mile, there's a search box for you to unleash your curiosity and dig even deeper.
Perplexity’s Discover Page Feature
Additionally, Polymarket is also developing a column utilizing Perplexity's Pages feature, which allows the creation of shareable pages from search results. This column will be featured on Perplexity's Discover page. Perplexity also announced plans to explore additional third-party partnerships to enhance the content featured in its Discover section.
Furthermore, Perplexity is also spicing things up by sprinkling in some data from Polymarket—think election trends and the like—to add a little flair to the answers. And to top it off, they're getting visuals whipped up by another AI buddy, Tako. The thing is you will not just be getting answers; but enjoying a whole show.
While commenting about the collaboration, Shayne Coplan, the founder and CEO of Polymarket said it emerged as a popular platform for those seeking high-quality, reliable information in an increasingly cluttered online environment.
He added that Perplexity, a company with a similar mission, is a natural partner for Polymarket, making their decision to strengthen the partnership a logical step.
Polymarket Vs Substack Earlier Patnership
A collab like this one happened before with Polymarket when they buddied up with Substack to let writers sprinkle prediction data straight into their posts. Oh, and in case you missed it, Polymarket just rolled out their own Substack newsletter, which goes by the name Oracle.
Polymarket's hopping on the Perplexity train will also make the betting platform an API customer. Basically, every time someone checks out events or throws a question into the prediction marketplace, Perplexity's cash register rings with sweet, sweet API revenue.
Perplexity’s API lets users sift through articles like they’re on a mission to find the one diamond in a sea of cubic zirconia. Banks can also get in on the action, using it to run their KYC processes, marketing tools and financial companies as well.
Polymarket has seen explosive growth amidst this strategic partnership with data from Dune revealing that Polymarket’s monthly volume hit a new peak of over $387 million in July. The platform’s user base is also on the rise, with August poised to outdo July’s record of 44,523 monthly traders.
