Moo Beng has gained so much internet acclaim that mega-corporations, including Dreamworks Animation, Universal Pictures, and the tech giant Windows, have all added the cute hippo to some of their most iconic images. Even Germany’s biggest football club, Bayern Munich, couldn’t help but post memes with Moo Deng. It’s that irresistible.

Moo Beng has also helped its home zoo gain international recognition. Reports show that the number of visitors in the zoo has at least doubled ever since the baby hippo became an internet sensation. The zoo’s X page now has more than 100,000 followers at the time of this writing with the help of the hippo.

The Khao Kheow Open Zoo isn’t the only one enjoying the wave of popularity of Moo Beng. The MOODENG meme coin has also jumped on the hippo’s popularity. The coin has now become the subject of a lot of media coverage, from being covered by the BBC and the Today show to being featured in an article by the New York Times.

The MOODENG Solana meme coin was released through the popular meme coin maker Pump.fun on September 11, 2024, and it has already acquired over 18.76k holders, over $190 million in market cap, and more than $85 million in 24-tour trading volume. 

According to reports, MOONDENG’s meteoric rise has helped its holders make significant investment returns. One trader has reportedly already turned just $800 worth of MOODENG tokens into $3.5 million, and he has not even sold anything yet, which means he could be making more.

MOODENG currently has a supply of 989.97 million MOODENG tokens, zero buy and sell, and zero tax. It has multiple token offerings, one on Solana, another on ETH, and a couple of others on other networks like Base. The MOODENG team has also stated that they are committed to donating 100% of fees generated by trading MOODENG on the Moonshot app to the Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
