As the end of the Biden administration gradually draws near, many are waiting for moves from the newly elected Trump administration. Unlike what the outgoing government offered, Trump has vocally pledged to usher in a more crypto-friendly administration

Still, ever since the announcement of his victory, there have been reduced talks about what this pro-crypto administration might look like and who’s in it—until now. The president-elect has announced two key figures to play key roles in his promised administration.

President-elect Donald Trump has now announced Bo Hines, a former Republican nominee for House of Representatives, as his pick for Executive Director of the Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets.

Hines has been long connected with Donald Trump. In 2022, he was the Trump-endorsed Republican House nominee in North Carolina's 13th District but lost the race to Democratic rival Wiley Nickel.

According to a Truth Social post from Trump, the plan is to get Hines to oversee a “new advisory group composed of luminaries from the crypto industry” and work hand in hand with another key figure in Trump’s Crypto government, David Sacks, who Trump himself picked to be White House AI and Crypto Czar.

Elaborating on the job description, Donald Trump stated that Bo and David would together “foster innovation and growth in the digital assets space while ensuring industry leaders have the resources they need to succeed. " He continued, "Together, they will create an environment where this industry can flourish and remain a cornerstone of our nation's technological advancement."

In the same post, Donald Trump announced that Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American entrepreneur and venture capitalist, would be the senior White House policy advisor on artificial intelligence (AI).

Trump did not fail to mention Krishnan’s job description as well. As per the Truth Social announcement, Krishnan would also be working closely with David Sacks to ensure “continued American leadership in A. I” Krishnan is also tasked with helping to “shape and coordinate A.I. policy across Government” and working closely “with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. ”

Both appointees have speedily accepted their appointments. Bo Hines took to X to thank the “Mr. President,” stating that it would be the “honor of a lifetime to serve.” He also mentioned being “thrilled to work alongside the brilliant David Sacks.”

Similarly, Sriram Krishnan stated that he was honored to accept the appointment and work with David Sacks. He also thanked Donald Trump for the opportunity.

With these two appointments underway, it seems the president-elect is ready to make good on his promises to the crypto community. There are still more appointments to be made, and as the Trump government edges to inauguration day, the crypto community will certainly be waiting to reap the dividends of their votes for Trump.
