Ethereum’s co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, is pretty excited about using artificial intelligence (AI) to spot potential issues in Ethereum’s code. You see, even the most advanced people in the world are not ashamed to use GPTChat! So, let’s take a look at the ideas behind V God. Enjoy the story.

Oh and V God is Mr. Buterin, FYI! “V神” or the “V God” in China, reflects the reverence and admiration for Ethereum’s co-founder in the Chinese crypto community. Sorry, just a fun fact. To the news!
Haven’t You Read X?
Too bad, because all disputes are resolved only here!
Vitalik Buterin, recently let slip an intriguing thought on X: Artificial Intelligence (AI) might just be the superhero Ethereum needs to tackle its most obvious kryptonite (got it?) — bugs hidden in its code.
On February 18, Buterin expressed great enthusiasm for AI scanning the Ethereum network for any troublesome code. He’s calling it the network’s “biggest technical risk,” and it sounds like AI could be the game-changer Ethereum has been waiting for.
His readers and other companies are extremely enthusiastic about that possibility. Of course, AI will do everything for them!
And there are thousands more positive comments, but it’s not all sunshine and roses. OpenZeppelin previously received mixed results from experiments using OpenAI’s GPT-4 to test the security of smart contracts on Solidity, Ethereum’s native programming language.
AI Сan Actually Ruin Everything
Mariko Wakabayashi, head of OpenZeppelin’s machine learning division, noted in a July 2023 article for Cointelegraph that the chatbot identified vulnerabilities in only 20 of 28 tasks assigned. In some cases, she said, the results were “frankly bad.” Sometimes the neural network needed leading questions, and once it simply invented a bug that didn’t exist. AI shows potential in auditing smart contracts but still relies on human expertise. Plus, GPT-4 and ChatGPT are still not specialized for vulnerability detection but can improve with more data.
“AI alone will not replace humans. However, auditors who learn to use these tools will be far more effective than those who turn a blind eye to the new technology” – made by Mariko from a similar Coinbase experiment.
Wait, if AI won’t replace humans… what is it for then?
CertiK security director Kang Lee said that using solutions like ChatGPT to create code often creates more vulnerability problems than it solves. In general, he recommended using AI tools only as an aid to experienced programmers.
I think ChatGPT is a great helpful tool for people doing code analysis and reverse engineering. It’s a good assistant, and it’ll improve our efficiency tremendously.
Vitalik Buterin Is All About AI
Just back in January, Buterin cast an eye on the exciting potential for AI technology and cryptocurrencies to work together, highlighting four promising synergies.
He examined the prospects and risks of using AI as a player, interface, rules, and objective of the game.
He believes that with the development of AI, human participation in operations related to crypto will be needed only in complex cases.

Well, if V God believes in AI, then so should we. But the fact remains true: nature has invented all the best things.
