TON Blockchain and Animoca Brands just announced they're teaming up to throw a $20 million party, and you're all invited. Well, sort of. Animoca Brands and TON Blockchain have joined forces, again, and this time, they’re working with Moca Network and Moca Foundation—still Animoca companies, anyway.

The goal is to win over a cool 1.6 billion users.
Basically, this money will go into incentives like The Open League, hackathons, and accelerator programs.
And to top the deal, they're also implementing an identity and reputation-based consumer network. Because apparently, we all need more ways to judge each other online.
Oh, and before I forget, they're also doing a token swap that would make even the most seasoned crypto trader's head spin. We're talking 88,888,888 MOCA tokens at $0.113 each—that’s a lot of eights. Maybe they're hoping for some crypto luck?
Now, let's talk numbers.
Moca Network brings 700 million addressable users to the table, which is pretty cool.
But the TON blockchain? Well, its already nearing one billion users, thanks to Telegram. The founder, Pavel Durov, announced Monday that the messaging platform has reached 950 million monthly active users.
”Up from 900 million in the spring,” he wrote. “On track for 1 billion!”
That brings the total potential users: 1.6 billion.
That's like trying to get one in five people on Earth to use your blockchain. No pressure, right?
But before we all start throwing our life savings into MOCA coins, let's take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
This isn't TON and Animoca's first rodeo together. Back in November 2023, Animoca Brands became TON's largest validator.
Plus, they’re folks are like the cool kids of the blockchain gaming industry.
- Over 400 Web3 projects in their portfolio
- They're behind hits like The Sandbox
- They even acquired TinyTap, because apparently, they needed more toys to play with
On the other hand, TON has been on a roll lately, thanks to its integration with Telegram. They've got games like Hamster Kombat (yes, you read that right) pulling in 150 million active users. That's more people than the population of Russia, all playing a game about fighting hamsters.
These Telegram-based crypto games are simpler than explaining blockchain with all the grammar and headaches that come with it.
We're talking clicker games that reward you with tokens. It's like getting paid to procrastinate, which is basically the dream, isn't it?
The success of these games sent TON's total value locked (TVL) skyrocketing to $609.78 million back in June. That's double what it was just three weeks prior.
But here's the million Toncoin question: Will this $20 million gamble pay off? Will we see 1.6 billion people suddenly become crypto enthusiasts? Will Hamster Kombat become the next esport sensation?

On one hand, we've seen big promises in crypto before that didn’t work out so well. On the other hand, TON and Animoca has the user base, the tech, and now the cash to make it happen. So things might just be different this time. Fingers crossed.
