The long-awaited airdrop for Hamster Kombat is almost here, with over 300 million participants set to earn a share of 3 billion HMSTR tokens. This event is poised to be one of the largest airdrops in cryptocurrency history and has generated immense excitement within the community.

According to a recent post on X by the Hamster Kombat team, the total supply of the HMSTR token will be 100 billion tokens. The developers have also announced the introduction of new features, including Binance Launchpool and Super Earn, which will enhance the token's utility and accessibility.

While the community is ecstatic about the upcoming airdrop, developers have raised concerns over potential network issues. The increasing user demand on the TON network has prompted questions about its sustainability, especially given past outages.

Within just a few months after launch, the game had amassed over 300 million players. The game was able to quickly gain that much traffic in a short time due to its innovative tap-to-earn mechanics. This allowed users to engage in simple yet rewarding gameplay while managing a fictional cryptocurrency exchange. 

As the game gained traction, the developers announced the highly anticipated launch of the HMSTR token, set for September 26, 2024. However, it's important to note that this isn't the first time the Hamster Kombat team would announce a token launch. 

The initial token launch which was planned for July faced delays due to technical complexities associated with managing such a large user base. On the bright side, the extra time allowed the team to refine the airdrop process with promises of a smooth distribution of tokens to players in the planned upcoming airdrop.

According to details shared by the Hamster Kombat team, the HMSTR token will have a total supply of 100 billion tokens, with 3 billion tokens allocated for the airdrop. This distribution aims to reward active participants and enhance community engagement. 

Additionally, the allocation will be based on player activities, including task completion, friend referrals, ensuring that dedicated players receive a larger share of the rewards.

Alongside the proposed launch, the developers have also announced plans to introduce new features, such as Binance Launchpool and Super Earn, which will further enhance the token's utility. These initiatives are designed to attract new players and retain existing ones, solidifying Hamster Kombat's position within the competitive Telegram gaming landscape.

Network Concerns and Developer Warnings

Recently, Hamster Kombat has been facing mass outages with users not being able to access their account. 

In a recent post on X, a concerned player expressed concerns about the outage stating, “Mini app is not opening, why is it ? please check the issue if you.are aware about it ?” This sentiment reflects the growing anxiety among users about the reliability of the TON blockchain during critical moments, such as the upcoming airdrop.

The TON Core team has warned that the anticipated surge in user activity during the airdrop could exacerbate existing issues. The team stated, “TON will undoubtedly face more technical pressures and possibly some unforeseen issues.” Furthermore, they highlighted the need for robust solutions to ensure a seamless experience for players.

In response to these concerns, the Hamster Kombat developers have taken proactive steps to mitigate potential disruptions. They are working closely with the TON blockchain team to develop efficient technical solutions that can accommodate the high volume of transactions expected during the airdrop. 

The developers have also emphasized the importance of community engagement during this period. They have encouraged players to connect their TON wallets to their Hamster Kombat profiles, which is a crucial step for eligibility in the upcoming airdrop. 

Additionally, the Hamster Kombat team has shown commitment to maintaining open lines of communication to players during this period.  One of their post on X reads, “Don't worry CEOs if your Hamster Kombat is showing this error. Server is highly loaded.” 

The Hamster Kombat team have also been transparent about the challenges they face and have promised regular updates as they work to resolve these issues. This approach is intended to reassure players that their concerns are being taken seriously and that the developers are actively seeking solutions.

Other Upcoming Token Launches

Aside from Hamster Kombat, there are numerous promising Telegram projects gearing up for a token launch. Other projects, such as Catizen, Rocky Rabbit, and Magic Muffins, are also set to debut their own TON-based tokens in the lead-up to the HMSTR token event.
