Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin, has officially surpassed Michael Dell to become the 11th richest person in the world. Who would’ve thought, right? Bitcoin hit $120,000 on Sunday, and now Nakamoto’s 1.096 million Bitcoin stash (worth over $131 billion) is making Forbes’ billionaires list look a little more... interesting.

Now, let’s get one thing straight: Forbes doesn’t care about crypto wallets. They only count those “real” assets like stocks, so Nakamoto’s fortune won’t even show up unless he starts casually selling his Bitcoin for some good ol' fiat. But hey, if we’re daydreaming, let's say Satoshi does break out his stash, he'd be comfortably ahead of Michael Dell’s $125.1 billion.

Could Nakamoto Be the Next Billionaire to Top Elon Musk?

Not quite, unfortunately. To dethrone Elon Musk from the number one spot (with his $404 billion), Nakamoto would need Bitcoin to soar another 208%. That’s right, 208%! So, unless Nakamoto’s wallets suddenly sprout wings and take off, it looks like Elon’s going to be holding onto that top spot for a while.

Larry Ellison and Mark Zuckerberg are also hanging out near the top with their $274 billion fortunes, so it’s not like Nakamoto has a clear runway just yet. Still, wouldn't it be something if Satoshi just showed up and took over the crypto world’s "rich list" like it was no big deal?

Nakamoto’s Climb to the Top? Could Happen Sooner Than You Think

If we follow Bitcoin’s “usual 50% per year” growth trend, as predicted by Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, Satoshi could be the second-richest billionaire by the end of 2026. I mean, that’s a pretty huge if, but hey, I wouldn’t be mad if Nakamoto climbed a few more spots.

Is Bitcoin Heading for $200K by 2025?

On the other hand, we’ve got some bold predictions. Bitwise's Matt Hougan thinks Bitcoin could hit $200,000 by 2025, thanks to institutional demand. Meanwhile, BitMEX's Arthur Hayes is all in on $250,000 by the year’s end. Either way, Bitcoin seems ready to keep shaking things up. Will Nakamoto keep climbing? Time will tell, but I think it’s safe to say he won’t be staying in 11th place for long.
